My first real memory of photography isn’t behind a camera at all — it’s being in Tanzania as a kid, holding my iPhone up to a pair of binoculars, trying to get a shot of a lion too far away to photograph any other way. It worked quite well to my surprise, and since then something about that attempt stuck with me.

I’ve been shooting with intention since 2020, drawn mostly to wildlife and street photography — two genres to me feel like the same pursuit. Both are about waiting for life to happen and catching it honestly, without staging or second takes. A tiger moving through Tadoba and a stranger crossing a street in Goa are, in a strange way, the same kind of moment: unrepeatable, unscripted, and gone the second after you press the shutter.

I shoot on a Sony A7 series camera, and when I’m not behind it, I’m probably planning the next trip or working through life in Los Angeles.
